  • den = Denier
  • micron = micron per inch (Micronaire type instrument)
  • Nm = Number
  • Metric Count System NeC = Number English Cotton Count System
  • NeK = Number English Worsted Count System
  • NeW = Number English Woollen Count System

Instructions:

Scan the "From" row and select the count system to convert from.
Follow down that column until you reach the row to convert "To".
Use the conversion factor indicated in box at the intersection of convert From and convert To


Example: Convert from Nm 54/1 To NeC

Move across the "From" row until you reach the Nm column.
Move down the Nm column until you reach the "To" NeC row.
The conversion formula should be "Nm/1.693". Divide 54 / 1.693.
