The Best Western Lake Norman Hotel is holding rooms for the Rumble/Turpin wedding until April 10, 2001 at a rate of $64 per night. After April 10, 2001, the hotel cannot guarantee available rooms. To reserve a room, please let the clerk know that you are a part of the Rumble/Turpin wedding so that you are given the discounted room rate. Also, you must call the Best Western Lake Norman Hotel directly in order to get the $64 room rate. If you call the 1-800 # for Best Western, they will not be able to give you this rate.

    NOTE: We have recently experienced a few problems with Hecht's Department Store (products not in stock, slow delivery for drop shipping). Therefore, we decided to register some of the same items at Ross Simons. We have successfully worked out the problems with Hecht's. However, Ross Simons has very good service and sometimes has lower prices. Other stores to compare against the Hecht's registry are Mikasa, Lenox, and Oneida (all three are on-line at www.mikasa.com, www.lenox.com, and www.oneida.com). We are not registered at Mikasa, Lenox, and Oneida, but they each carry the corresponding items on our Hecht's registry.

    From Virginia:
    Take I-77 SOUTH into North Carolina. Take Exit 28 (Lake Norman Exit). Take a RIGHT off of the exit on to Catawba Avenue and stay in the left lane. The first light is Liverpool Parkway. If you are staying in the Best Western Hotel, you will need to turn left on Liverpool Parkway and the hotel is on the left. If you are going straight to the wedding, stay on Catawba Avenue for 0.9 mile. Then, take a RIGHT on to Jetton Road (there is an Eckerd Drug on the left and a Harris Teeter on the right at this intersection). Stay on Jetton Road for 2.3 miles. Jetton Road turns into one lane, so stay in the right lane. As soon as the road turns into a one-lane road, the next left is Harbor Light Blvd. Take a LEFT on Harbor Light Blvd and go 0.4 miles. The Peninsula Yacht Club is on the right. **Please walk around to the back of the building. There are steps leading down on each side of the building. The wedding ceremony and an adult reception are being held on the back lawn. Since we are having an outdoor wedding, you may want to bring an umbrella just in case of rain - but pray for sunshine!!!

    From the Charlotte Douglas Airport:
    Go North on Rental Car Road towards Airport Parking Drive (0.5 mi.). Turn right onto Old Dowd Road (0.2 mi.). Stay straight to go onto Little Rock Road (0.8mi). Take the I-85 NORTH ramp (0.2 mi.). Merge onto I-85 NORTH (5.7 mi.). Take I-77/US-21 NORTH exit (0.2 mi.). Keep LEFT at the fork in the ramp (0.2 mi.). Merge onto I-77 NORTH / US-21 NORTH (2.3 mi.). Stay straight to go onto I-77 NORTH (12.6 mi.). Take Exit 28 (Cornelius/Lake Norman Exit) (0.2 mi.). Take a LEFT off of the exit on to Catawba Avenue and stay in the left lane.
