This suitcase cake was a 9x13 sheetcake covered in chocolate buttercream textured to resemble leather.  The silver latches and handle anchors were gumpaste pieces dried and painted with silver dust.  The handle was a piece of black fondant rolled to shape and attached with frosting.  The luggage tag and trip stickers were fondant rectangles applied and then piped with buttercream messages.
