This cake for my daughter's Western birthday party has a run-sugar backdrop and rolled buttercream horses and cowboy.  I got the backdrop idea from an old Wilton yearbook. And, yes, I realize I misspelled "birthday" on my own child's cake! (I didn't realize it till we were cutting the cake and another child pointed it out!!)
