Welcome

Welcome to my Body-for-LIFE site. I completed my first challenge in 2003 with great results, and have really enjoyed the wonderful changes the continuation of my program has brought! Amidst a busy, sometimes chaotic work and home life, my goal was to reclaim control of my life, mind, and body using the BFL program. I am so excited to have found BFL and the overwhelmingly positive transformations it has brought to so many people's lives and now, mine. I hope to use my site as a way to share progress, thoughts, recipes, tips — and ultimately my lifelong success as I continue my BFL journey.

   SPECIAL NOTE TO TEACHERS, GUARDIANS, AND PARENTS:

It is SO important to provide health education to our children. The practices they are taught or not taught will set the course for how they will value their mental and physical health.

I am not saying that we should teach children to be bodybuilders or that they should fit into a mold or expectation set by society. I am imploring you to relay to our children the importance of taking care of yourself, inside and out, so that they learn and value nutrition and well-being.

The reason that so many people are physically and mentally unfit today is due to the lack of education about these important issues. Adults are often already mentally and physically unfit, even depressed, when they become educated about health and well-being. Most American adults are obese because they simply were not taught these principles early in life. Like myself, they became educated about wel linto adulthood and are trying drastically to change and improve their lives. BFL is the way to do that.
Encouragement and support is a big part of succeeding in this wonderful program, so I invite you to peruse my BFL site and blog as I progress through my 12-wekk BFL programs. Feel free to share a recipe that you think others would enjoy!

CHALLENGE EIGHT (C8) UPDATE:
I have just completed my eight BFL challenge and entered the official 2007 challenge. I am SO pleased with the progress I made and look forward to what C9 brings, then C10, and so on! Check out the results of my latest BFL challenge on the progress page — the numbers show how much change can REALLY happen in those 12 weeks!
