May 13, 2006 - Dog Bites Owner
I arrived at the listed location in reference to a bite fax received from CMC in regards to an
owner being bitten by his canine.
I made contact with one XXXXXXX XXXXXXXX , the wife of the victim. As I was speaking
to Mrs. XXXXXXXX, her husband and the victim, one XXX XXXXXXXXX, arrived with his
left arm in a splint.
Mr. XXXXXXXX was adamant in regards to the attack which, according to all witnesses, was
an attempt by Mr. XXXXXXXX to break a fight between his canine, an American Pit Bull Terrier,
female in sex and current on rabies, and another canine at his residence, a Dachsund, also
current on rabies.
The canine inadvertantly bit the victim's left hand and apparently let go immediately upon
realizing that she had the owner's arm.
I approved home quarantine despite severity of bite due to the canine's well behaved demeanor,
and the owner's admission to culpability.
March 28, 2006 - Bunny Capture
Name and code number omitted at the Officer's request.
I responded to a call reporting two nuisance rabbits. I arrived at XXXX XXXXXXX XXXXX and three
families came out to point out the location of the rabbits. I thanked the citizens and went straight to my
mission. The first wiley critter was frolicking between two front yards at fairly decent speeds. I pursued
him but made failed attempts to close the distance. The onlookers sounded off with oooo's and ahhh's
as I neared the animal. I was very near a capture point when it juked me hard left. I threw my body
across it's path and made a solid but awkward capture. The crowd responded with several compliments
on my prowess. I then set about the location and capture of the second animal. This animal was at a
slight dissadvantage as it appeared to be overfed or pregnant. I reduced my efforts to 75% to allow for
it's condition and make it a fair capture. It submitted between two boxes and was impounded. The
citizens thanked ACB. I departed the area.
