Here is how to play loner.  

it's F-C-G the whole time but at the beginning

Dave is playing (don't think me presumptuous, i just remember)-

not a barchord F so you can use your pinky to hit the high G note on the
high e string.

then open C chord using pinky to hit the note 3rd fret B string

then just a plain old G for two beats.

does this make sense to anyone?  i hope so.
