How to Send in your 600mm f/4 Lens mount to be upgraded.

There are several steps involved in sending me a Nikon F lens mount to be upgraded.

First get a standard #0 phillips screwdriver from your local hardware store.  They are only a few bucks for a set.  I'd also recommend putting a small amount of penetrating oil on the screw heads and letting it soak in overnight before attempting to remove the screw heads. If you somehow manage to strip the screw heads you will have to send the entire lens so I can regrove the screw head and remove the mount.

Next remove the five screws around the lens mount. If the screwdriver came with a torque handle I'd suggest using it. It makes removing stubborn screws much easier.

Next send the removed mount to me at

I will send you back the mount with matrix metering chip attached.

Simply slide the matrix metering chip inbetween the outter lens body and the inner lens baffle as shown.  And screw down the mount with the five screws you previously removed.

That's it. Go out and take some pictures!
