For animal pickup please call Animal Control at 910-997-8320 OR 910-997-8288. All animals picked up by Animal Control are brought to this shelter. If you have Lost or Found an Animal: Please remember to notify the Animal Shelter within 24 hours if you have lost or found a dog or cat. It is a Class H Felony (Larceny) to not turn found pets into the animal authority (the Animal Shelter or Animal Control) within 24 hours. Please call the Shelter to see if we have your beloved friend; please leave a message on the answering machine during non-business hours. The Shelter holds all animals a minimum of 72 hours unless it is deemed medically necessary to hold them a shorter period of time. All animals picked up by Animal Control are housed at the Humane Society Animal Shelter on Highway 74 West.
