| Welcome to the home page of Kim and Maggie Blutreich. We live just East of Charlotte, NC. Although we do other things also, this site is dedicated to our dog activities.
We used to show Dalmatians and currently show Beagles in AKC Conformation sh We have owned Dalmatians for over 30 years, and have been actively showing for the past 18. But years go by, and it's getting harder to run around the ring with the Dals. We became the proud owners of our first Beagle in 1997, and have fallen in love with the breed. We bred one litter of Beagles in 2001, and kept three out of four puppies. The next three litters have been only two puppies each. We breed rarely - the Beagle litter was the first litter born at our house since 1993. When we do, Minoan is our kennel name. We do rescue when we can. Maggie is very involved in dog training. She teaches several local classes, using force-free (clicker-training) techniques, from Puppy and Adult Socialization to advanced Operant Conditioning. She has also worked at the Charlotte Humane Society's no-kill shelter, teaching the dogs there some basic manners and thus making them more adoptable.
